Reaching diverse communities

As part of our commitment to connection, in west Yorkshire we have a long-term partnership with Community Action Bradford & District, exploring the barriers and incentives to encourage more volunteering.

In 2023 we researched local people’s views on volunteering. In 2024 we tested local community ‘volunteering fairs’ in neighbourhood shopping centres. In 2025 we have explored attitudes to volunteering around disabled people, older people and South Asian communities.
