Levelling up white paper

We contributed to discussions ahead of the 2022 Levelling Up White Paper, which set out how the then government would spread opportunity more equally across the UK. As the document was being prepared, Shaping the Future met ministers and officials.

Following our input, the resulting paper referenced the “heroic contributions” made by volunteers, and the government recognised the “rich endowment of voluntary action” and pledged to build on its Volunteering Futures Fund “to target places with poor social capital, including piloting ways to further reduce the barriers to volunteering”.
